Palantír is a floor based light based on a simplification of the geometries used in brutalist architecture.  The light is comprised of two 1/8" sheets of steel held together by bolts, and mounted onto a concrete block, the shade of the lamp is made of a sheet of amber mica.  Overall the lamp stands at 60" tall and 12" wide.

Interlinked is a design based off wooden brutalist and postmodern design I wanted to create a stepstool that featured clean, smooth, and straight geometry, but also featured visible joinery to compliment the piece visually.  I steered away from using moving parts to avoid over-complicating my overall design.  I chose to use hardwoods in my main construction as I wanted my design to have visual weight to the final model but still have the option for transportability.

Proun is inspired from the fundamentals and visuals found in constructivist art.  I wanted to find a way to incorporate the asymmetry and abstract shapes found in many constructivist pieces of art and try to incorporate the fundmentals of the constructivist movement into the construction and design of my project.
